Hello, I just bought a savanna suit and have been impressed tremendously so far. On two occasions I have had deer down wind of me and not get busted. But the second occasion really sold the show. A brother-in-law just leased a farm and we just put in a few food plots. In a giant oak next to a plot (that was getting hit hard by deer) someone in the past had fastened a wooden pallet as a platform about 8 ft off the ground. We didn’t have any stand set up because we didn’t know the deer travel routes very well yet, so I decided to bow hunt out of the oak thinking they would probably come from a certain direction. The wind was blowing off me onto the food plot. About 30 minutes after entering the stand two does slipped onto the food plot from some tall CRP grass behind me. They stuck their noses in the air for about 10 seconds and commenced to eating. One doe was 10 yards away and the other was 20. My only shot though was at the doe and 20 and I connected. If I didn’t have that savanna suit on they would have winded me for sure, guaranteed. Just thought I’d drop a line.
